We empower youth and families through performing arts education, cultural celebration, and community-centered entertainment. CREATIVE LEARNING PROGRAMS

Musical Theatre • After-School Program (Ongoing)

A continuous, performance-based program where students train in acting, singing, and movement, preparing for quarterly showcases that develop confidence, creativity, and stage skills.

Student Singing Ensemble • After-School Program (Ongoing)

A fun, dynamic choir experience where students build vocal strength, harmony, and stage presence while preparing for seasonal performances throughout the year.

Creators Studio
Digital Media & Video Production • After-School Program (Ongoing)

Students learn filming, editing, scripting, storytelling, and production by creating real projects—from mini-docs to podcasts and short films

World Beat Drummers

Percussion & Rhythm Ensemble • After-School Program (Ongoing) 

Students explore world rhythms, musicality, teamwork, and cultural styles through hands-on drumming and ensemble performance each quarter.

Tropical Sundays – Latin Festival Series
A summer-long celebration of Latin music, dance, and community. Tropical Sundays brings families together with live entertainment, cultural performances, food, and unforgettable experiences—every weekend, all season long.

    Daniela Mosquera Kandia

    Daniela Mosquera is a three-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, producer, and community-focused creative with more than 15 years of experience in media, storytelling, and outreach. She has worked across television newsrooms, community engagement initiatives, artificial intelligence content development, and large-scale event production.

    Drawing from her extensive background in communication, education-focused storytelling, and creative program design, Daniela now leads the development of Kandia World Beat’s arts and enrichment programs. Her work centers on expanding access, fostering creativity, and building culturally inclusive spaces where students feel inspired, confident, and supported.

    Carlos Kandia

    Co-Founder & Artistic Director

    Carlos Kandia is an award-winning musician, educator, and cultural arts leader with 19 years of experience teaching music, singing, percussion, and musical theater to children and youth. He has taught in bilingual and international programs, bringing a deep understanding of culturally responsive arts education. Recognized as a Latino Changemaker and World Music Artist of the Year, Carlos uses music as a powerful tool for creativity, expression, and student growth. He maintains full district-required certifications and leads curriculum design, program implementation, and teaching artist training at Kandia World Beat.

  • Together, they founded Kandia World Beat to create a cultural movement rooted in empowerment, opportunity, and celebration. They are also the founders of Kandia Entertainment, an award-winning production company recognized for high-quality cultural events across Northern California.
